You are invited to attend the Technology Bytes monthly gathering/meet-up. We’ll be descending upon at The Coffee Groundz, located 2503 Bagby, in Houston, TX.

The Coffee Groundz offers a diverse menu of coffees, teas, beers, wines and even well drinks and most important of all, FOOD AND FREE WI-FI!!!.

The event starts around 7:30 and goes until ?

You don’t have to be a geek to attend. Heck, you don’t even have to be a current listener of the show. This event is a casual meet-up for anyone interested in technology or social media in all its forms and a great opportunity to just hang out with like minded individuals.

No June Geek Gathering

The Geek Gatherings have been canceled until we can find a more suitable venue or until the summer heat fades a little. Coffeegroundz has been our home for a little over a year but we’ve outgrown the indoor air-conditioned space and it’s just not reasonable to expect everyone to congregate outdoors in the Houston heat and humidity.

If you know of another location that might be available to host the Geek Gathering during the summer month feel free to contact us and let us know.

We are still finalizing plans for our 15th anniversary party on Friday, July 9th at the Foundation Room in the House Of Blues and we’ll be posting details as we have them.

Our special guest this month will be Brenden Macaluso of Recompute who will be bringing out one of his “cardboard computers” to demonstrate and discuss.

I believe that last night’s geek gathering was possibly the most well attended geekiest gathering to date. Thanks to all who came out and special thanks to the Arduino geeks for bringing out their gear and sharing it with everyone and the D&D geeks who completed the geek scene by conducting actual role-playing at the event.
