The Geek Gatherings have been canceled until we can find a more suitable venue or until the summer heat fades a little. Coffeegroundz has been our home for a little over a year but we’ve outgrown the indoor air-conditioned space and it’s just not reasonable to expect everyone to congregate outdoors in the Houston heat and humidity.
If you know of another location that might be available to host the Geek Gathering during the summer month feel free to contact us and let us know.
We are still finalizing plans for our 15th anniversary party on Friday, July 9th at the Foundation Room in the House Of Blues and we’ll be posting details as we have them.
Do it at Jay’s house.

We’re want to ESCAPE the heat.
There is a restaurant on Shepherd between Westheimer and Fairview that is dead, all the effing time. I think the name today is ‘bortello’.
Good inside space with a patio for the smokers. They do (or at least they did) have WiFi.
Parking is okay, but many could just park at the Randalls across Westheimer and walk a block to make it happen.
There is a full bar, (or at least there was).
I’ll dip in tomorrow and post some details as it’s right around the corner from my house, along my dog walking trail.
*very sad face* I’ll miss all my geeky buds until the next one!! I guess I’ll have to get my fix at our next Dungeons & Dragons game on the 18th! Love you boys!!
